From the mighty Prog Metal Conference we have one of the most accessible and greatest of bands!
From Sweden OPETH!!!!!! From the Eclectic Conference we have one of greats who helped define 'eclectic' prog. From England TRAFFIC!!! Vegas oddsmakers have labelled this matchup a toss up. |

Like Opeth but I have been a Traffic fan since I first stated expanding my musical horizons.

I LOVE Traffic... but have come to love Opeth.
However I do have to vote for the long time love over the new one. Love both though. |

Traffic have long been a favourite of mine, while Opeth (whom I used to like a lot) seem to have been going steadily downhill since they decided to take a more "mainstream" prog direction. So, this one is a no-brainer for me.

Opeth quite easily for me, I've found Traffic to be very dull.

Opeth.... only know Ghost of Perdition, though. Traffic's not bad, however. Dear Mr. Fantasy and Rock and Roll Stew are alright. but the former beats the other two, though.

None of both is a favorite.
Traffic is a bit bland for me but a transcendental point ion Prog history Opeth is damned by the ugly growls. Will have to go with the bland one. Iván

Not much into Metal (although I tried Still Life and Blackwater Park) so one vote for Traffic. Really cool music.

Traffic. Low Spark and John Barleycorn are two of my favorite albums. If I wanted to hear death growls I'd watch a zombie movie.

Never understood Opeth. Not a huge Traffic fan but they get my vote easily.

They couldn't be any more different, but I still prefer Traffic.

Traffic. I don't have listened much to Opeth, but I heard Pale Communion yesterday and it sounded pretty good.

Not a major fan of either, but I'll go with Opeth. I only like a couple of Traffic tracks.

Traffic all the way. I have never been much of a fan of Opeth.

Death growl overdose! However, I found myself liking the death growls early on in this song. Just goes to show that one can get used to anything. I don't know you well, Opeth, but I respect a lot of what I heard. I think i will stick with the post-growl era, however.
Traffic took a while to grow on me, but had a thirty year head start and are the clear winners for me. Love Stevie's vocals before he went all 'adult contemporary.'

More heavy prog, please!
