From the amazing RPI conference we have the greatest of the greats. A band still amazing audiences today with new albums and incredible live peformances.

From Italy

PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI!!!!

From the Krautrock Conference we have one of its most interesting and unique groups.

From Germany

POPOL VUH!!!

PFM -
Popol Vuh hasn't really struck a chord with me yet.

Obviously I know PFM much better than Popol Vuh, though what I have heard of the German band did resonate a lot with me. Unfortunately for Popol Vuh, my fellow Italians are not just a fantastic band (their set at NEARfest 2009 was one of the best concert experiences I have ever had), but they were essential in turning me on to prog when I was not yet a teenager.

From what I've heard, Popol Vuh just aren't my thing. I love PFM.

I think I've voted for all the Italian bands so far in this tournament.

I don't know either very well. But, the Krauts get it from me! Losing already too!

I would vote for PFM against everybody except Genesis, Kansas and maybe Anglagard

Popol Vuh is fantastic, but PFM is THE Italian band.

Popol Vuh easily...although this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Hosianna Mantra.

Advantage Popol Vuh. Love both. Had to go with more experimental underdog.

Hosianna Mantra leaves me dry, but I always had the feeling that I'd love Popul Vuh's other albums. I like PFM too, so I'll have to give them each another listen before voting.
