*head explodes*

Bruford Cross Fripp Wetton versus Belew Bruford Fripp Levin... that is nigh impossible a choice to make.

1974 without question. I don't care for the Talking Head-era KC as much.

74, they were not always on but when they were, OUCH!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

'74 by a mile...I always wished the '81 version had followed their original plan and named the band Discipline Wink

From the '80s: One great album and two just okay.
From the '74 lineup (including Lark's Tongue): Two great albums and one mind blowing masterpiece.

Need I say more?

No contest. The '81 lineup stands for one of the most overrated albums in prog history.

I'll join in the head exploding.

I'll give a vote to the underdogs.
