From the mighty Symphonic Conference we have Genesis!!!

Also from the mighty symphonic Conference we have... Renaissance!!

Vegas oddmakers have installed Genesis as a 20 vote favorite.  Does Renaissance have it in them to keep it close and perhaps cover the spread.  My money isn't on it that is for sure LOL. However we shall see!

Genesis are gonna win anyway.  And can't bear to vote out Renaissance in what is going to be a repeat of Brazil-Germany, so here's a sympathy vote.

Do I get some kind of an "Early Voter" button?

I suspect the playing field here is heavily tilted towards Genesis, but I have voted for Renaissance, and here is why:

Renaissance must be one of the least irritating bands on this Planet. At the same time I can't think of a single Genesis album that doesn't bother me in some way. Their older albums feel too lengthy. I find their 1980s albums mildly boring. The Invisible Touch, strangely, would be my favorite Genesis album, but the all-pervading drum machine imparts a faint "cheesy" odor to it Evil Smile

Everyone knows what Ms. Haslam singing is like; no need to expound any further. At the same time PG vocals is not something I would like to hear, if I can help it; not sure why, though. Phil Collins is more agreeable, but his overall showmanship style feels "too cute" at times Wacko

LOLClap  I like that.  It is so true.. Renaissance does have to be one of the .. if not THE least offensive group in all prog. Personally I consider listening to them like eating sweets... very yummy.. but if you do too much of them.. your goddamn teeth will fall out.

Yeah...mixed with a few more of the slightly edgy tracks like Trip..., they would have been more rounded out.  Anyway, nice to see early support for the underdog.  I do like Genesis way more but tired of seeing them win polls all the time. Let's have some fun. LOL

Genesis are amazing.

Can't vote in this one. Haven't heard anything by Renaissance (Embarrassed) and don't know Genesis well enough.

I feel the exact opposite. While I dig the occasional musical outburst from them, I start crawling the walls whenever Annie opens her mouth. I find that extremely irritating.

There are lots of bands I would vote for against Genesis, this isn't one of them.

The ones who managed to make an interesting 25 minute long track. To me, at least.
