If anyone can decipher exactly what Moshkito is on about then I advise they check themselves into the nearest hospital immediately.

Can you say Prog Christmas? Sure ya can. Hello boys and girls! Today were gonna talk to a Prog musician and you know what a Prog musician is don't ya? Can you say that? Don't? Sure ya can.

Mr. Rogers: Hello, how are ya?
Prog musician: You think maybe you can get somebody to get me a cup of coffee?
Mr. Rogers: You're not used to gettin' up early are ya?
Prog musician: Hee hee, I'm not here yet
Mr. Rogers: What time do ya usually get up?
Prog musician: I like to get up when the sun is warm ...around one or 2 in the afternoon
Mr. Rogers: I like to get up around 6:30
Prog musician: Ha! Ha!...that's insane!
Mr. Rogers; Huh?
Prog musician: You're stupied. You should sleep late , it's a lot easier on your constitution.

I've always liked The ELP-style cover of The Little Drummerboy by The December People (from album Sounds Like Christmas):
http://youtu.be/C0MEnsmK56M

But Pentatonix a capella version is even better IMO:

California Guitar Trio also have a nice Christmas album.

Does anyone here think that Keith Emerson X-mas CD from the '90s is any good? I heard some of it, and it was a little too sugary for my tastes.

Mr. Rogers: Is that your instrument...a bass? It looks like a violin, but it's a lot bigger isn't it?
Prog musician: It's a hell of a lot bigger! Da violin is a little wimpy thing!
Mr. Rogers: Can you say wimpy?
Prog musician: Wimpy, wimpy thing.
Mr. Rogers: I like the way you say that, did ya know that?
Prog musician: I do now? Hell, you're easily amused aren't you? I say wimpy, wiggly, whatever?
Mr. Rogers: Yeah..I know what you mean. Ya know something, I like what your face does when you play. It sort of gets all folded up.
Prog musician: Yea..well someone told me once that my face when I play the bass..looks like a fruit or something. It just keeps flashing at you and real ugly sometimes like rubber
Mr. Rogers: Yeah..I know what ya mean. Tell me some of the things ya think about when you're playing...the images..because of course ..when you were playing I thought about things like sheep and candies, fresh little candies, do you think about those things too?
Prog musician: Oh...I basically think about my financial situation. I think about every note I play in a space, I mean out into space and I am workin' cheap

.
Mr. Rogers: Must be sort of a struggle keepin' your band together?
Prog musician: Oh man, especially when you be movin' piano man that is the worst. I worked as a mover for 2 years and I've also made pizza.
Mr. Rogers: And so now you're playing music and so the story sort of has a happy ending doesn't it?
Prog musician; UH...sort of a happy ending? We just got the shaft from the record company...
Mr. Rogers Awww..that's too bad.
Prog musician: They promised to pay us a certain amount of royalties..which amounted to nothing
Mr. Rogers: Oh, that's too bad
Prog musician: I'm sick of this crap...getting the sh-t end of the stick!
Mr. Rogers: Sure, sure..I know whatcha mean..sure Well I'm sure a lot of people out there would like to know what a big strong guy like you eats to be so big, what he eats to play like that...can you tell us that?
Prog musician: Well...I eat a lot of garbage food. Chicken from a chain store or rubber breakfast sandwiches, blatter puffs, diesel fuel, rum gasoline or even the disease of the day sometimes
Mr. Rogers: Do you ever have Egg Mcmuffin?
Prog musician: Sometimes or turkey jerky strudel.
Mr. Rogers: Can you say Egg mcmuffin?
Prog musician: Egg-a-meffin..yeah
Mr. Rogers: Well I know what I'd like to do now, I'd like to hear you play some bass.
Prog musician: Well...I'd like to do that!
Mr. Rogers: Well...were gonna go to the magic prog kingdom.
Prog musician:, Oh no man..it's too early for me...I gotta drive.
