Echo & The Bunnymen vs. The B-52s

Echo & The Bunnymen were an acclaimed post-punk band known for exploring psychedelia.

"Love Shack" aside, The B-52's were known for adding surf rock and dance to their post-punk. They eventually became a seminal band in New Wave.

Echo and the Bunnymen, I kind of like their very 1980s take on the darker side of 1960s psychedelia and surrealistic lyrics despite them occasionally going a bit too far into kitsch territory to be a first tier band.

Had to show love for the B-52's. These people were from outer space, and they brought a fun, kitschy, and experimental take on new wave with them to Earth. You haven't lived until you've heard "Planet Claire".

Would've loved to vote for the Bunnymen, but the B's need respect.

The B-52's all the way! Love that band. Echo and the Bunnymen never appealed to me that much, if compared to other bands of the same period.

Echo all the way.....I always thought that the B52's were some kind of inside joke....that just wasn't funny.

B52's is awesome. I like a handful of Echo & The Bunnymen-songs but too often they sound pompous and smug in a U2 kind of way.
