supper's ready..

it's similar to my favourite movies, a long slow burn ending in a powerful emotional climax

Coincidently as it would be if I had to choose the band I most enjoy from the three ones, Echoes is it.

Echoes. I know that I would have voted for Suppers Ready just a couple of years ago as I got into Meddle a little late. Although probably in third place here for me Close to the Edge is still a masterpiece.

"Close To the Edge" by the slightest of margins.  Grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go.

That is true, but still I'd say:

because Supper's Ready has so many great melodies/harmonies, and because the last part builds up the tension so great.

I wouldn't seriously imagine a universe in which one had to pick between these three.
I think these polls are all a part of the campiness of what makes this site so much fun.
Are we going to pick Dr. Who's favorite band next?

Genesis, Supper's Ready.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Definitely Echoes.
