Pretty detailed, and accurate imo, review of the album here: http://usaprogmusic.com/joomla/index.php?option=com_simple_review&Itemid=28&review=337-Symphony-Mind-Reflections.

"Symphony, in some form or another, has been around since 1995. Through the years the band has suffered from numerous personnel and name changes. At one point the band had even called it quits after the departure of the lead guitarist and bassist, though the group found replacements and ultimately reformed. With all of the personnel changes even the style of music being written by the band eventually changed over time. Then known as Dark Doom, the band originally started out playing the style responsible for its namesake - doom metal. Things have certainly changed for the band these days - all of which is reflected on a new full-length album, Mind Reflections...."

The review highlights the general lack of aggression within the music, stresses the melodic nature and keyboard atmospheres of much of the material, and finishes off by saying:

"Symphony made the unusual transition from doom metal to progressive metal - quite possibly a first-time occurrence. Fortunately for all of us, whatever shortcomings the band has in heaviness is more than compensated for with melody. Ultimately, it is the melodies on the album that reign supreme, cascading down from every instrument through quality songwriting."

We await further comment...
