Duran Duran.
Blondie (well, Debbie) was better looking than the Durans (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course), but Duran had better songs than Blonde IMHO.

Duran Duran. I was actually in a band in high school and we played a few Duran Duran covers (New Religion, Save a Prayer). And my little sister had posters of them on her wall (John was her favorite). I'm not a huge fan myself but they had some great hits and album tracks. And apart from "Heart of Glass", I can barely stand anything by Blondie, and I've heard some complete albums by them. Debbie Harry is super hot though.

Blondie, hands down. First of all, though she is mostly remembered as new wave or punk, I always considered her music to be quite progressive. Odd meters and spontaneous sounding rhythms and form. Interesting note, scale, and harmonic choices. Not to mention, she was so incredibly hot...:p

Like songs by both a lot. Interesting to see this thread now. I was watching these two videos yesterday after looking into rejected James Bond songs as well as used ones.

Well, I have the greatest hits albums of both of them, so......
I once won a round of drinks for my entire table by being able to sing all of "Rapture," although 'sing' may, in this case, be not the most accurate of descriptions.
I have no amusing incidents connected to Duran Duran in my life.
