Hi, here's a very different cover for the song "The Return of the Giant Hogweed" by Genesis.

Some Techno here, some Trance there, very proggielectronic.

What do you think of it?

Blessings.

Sounds like the Pet Shop Boys set fire to the store.

I hope this is not what we need for Prog to become popular again LOL

If this was not a cover but an original song, it could fuel an interesting debate regarding the band's addition to PA or not Wink

I quite enjoyed it.  I love electronica too and things like this made me smile.  I stayed up a little late last night to listen to it.

thanks for that--I like some techno---this was nothing like I thought it would be like---I thought it wouldn't have a lot of vocals and be more a driving techno version of the music--which I think would have  been better--but that was cool.

Terrible.

This pathetic nonsense is akin to painting a beard and moustach on the Mona Lisa.

Any different interpretation is always fine ... you either take to it or you don't. This has been the same issue with a lot of classical music with different emphasyz on different locations making the pieces different under many different conductors.

I felt a bit the same on the album that several other bands, did GONG, and some of it was definitly unusual, but after a couple of listens, it was OK. But I also learnt a few things about other bands!!!

I would rather the artist was remembered, than not! And I have no issues with different interpretations!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Not my cup of tea. I would prefer some squelchy synth sequences and stuttering percussive mayhem rather than cheesy chiptune waveforms and arpeggiators, but I applaud the effort anyway.
