It will be a very long day for me.  I'll wake up at 4am on Sunday for Monaco, then watch the Indy 500, then go to work at around 1pm and since I work for a FOX station, I'll then watch the Coke 600.  Then I have a newscast to direct.  Totally worth it, but damn it'll be a long day.

Nico for the three-peat at Monaco!? *hopes*

Would be awesome if Helio could take the 500, would put him in the lead with some legends who won it 4 times, but just hoping for a good, AND SAFE, race mainly

Excellent pole for Hamilton, surprisingly his first around Monaco in F1. Perez was brilliant to get 7th, and Carlos Sainz was a good 8th but will start from the pitlane because he failed to stop at the FIA weighbridge in Q2.

That would be awesome.

Indeed, and thought he'd have pole but nabbed by Lewis. Not that it's suddenly impossible but we know the advantage of pole at Monaco.

Rosberg wasn't going to get pole, he just doesn't look as fast as Hamilton around here this time. He locked up big time at St Devot twice during qualy, the first of which in Q2 he went off down the escape road and ruined everybody's lap behind him, which was bad for Jenson as he would have easily made the top 10 and probably would have qualified 7th. Luckily he'll start 10th instead of 12th since Gorsjean and Sainz have got penalties.

I was a little irritated about Nico screwing JB up, but I'm still pretty excited at the possibility of scoring points for the first time this year.

WOW. I am not sure what exactly happened but...congrats to Nico.

It was indeed a three-peat though full admittance, I never expected him to win, nor should he really have.
Mechanical failure happens, for example, but team error? What a horrible way for Lewis to lose it. Honestly, it feels so stale, I'm not even really that excited about the win. I know it's a team sport, and errors are part of it and all but wow...just feels wrong how this went down. If anyone can try to figure out what the hell happened there?
Lewis must be livid beyond any words.

I'm also quite livid that we can't get the post race...I would love to see the reactions in there. I'll try to stream it or something, Lewis must be just awful right now. Tension must be amazing!
Congrats to Button for scoring the first points for McLaren, Alonso would've been right behind him but shame he DNFd yet again.

Some fun moments from Verstappen who got a little too ambitious for his own good!

He didn't look happy k

I wonder what they thought of. Even with a perfect stop he might have just made it in front of Vettel but probably not.

LOL I'm sure he didn't.
Yeah, though it made no sense to even stop, there was no need to and no way he was gunna pass anyone. Was clearly an error, curious what happened or just a simple mental slip.

Rough day for Conor Daly, Indiana native, whose Indy 500 ended before it even started.
Sato's famed aggressiveness is still around! We all know the start is a nutty time and I can't "blame" him but trying to move on the outside in the turn and 3 wide...deff bold. And resulted in crash

Been a good race so far, lots of lead changes up front, the draft is insane this year! The cars aren't just being sucked up but thrusted, they've been rocketing past and very late in the straight. Almost looks like an arcade-y style racing game where they purposely "rubber band" everyone to keep it even and opponents randomly shoot forward LOL

Seems there was a pit road incident, and the fact they did not show it is concerning, hope all are OK.
Huge shame for Kanaan who just spun outCry

Triple post:
Well that was a great finish as always. Congrats to Montoya!! Clap Especially coming from 30th after being hit under caution. Dude is still a beast and I think the favorite for the title. Regardless of track he's been a threat for the win every race.

Was a great race with quite a few mixing it up, and honestly I thought this race was gunna be Dixon's.

That 500 was almost as intense as last year's, it was SO good.  And I'm pumped that Montoya won it, if Helio and TK couldn't.

And as much as I'm not a fan of Lewis, he was robbed by his own team today in Monaco, but hey, Jenson scored some points, so it's all good. LOL

Yeah even I have to feel for Lewis, though I'm fairly loathe to do that.
I still have no idea wtf happened there, my gut wanted to jump to team orders but realized that would make ZERO sense, I'll just chuck it up to someone goofed royally.

Yeah I think JPM is really in his stride, seems unstoppable. Shame he spent all those years in NASCAR and not doing what hes best at

I like that he raced in NASCAR for a while.  It really proved that the guy can win in anything he races in.  It's just that I don't think he really struggled so much as Ganassi's Cup teams aren't top tier and the that the competition in Cup is consistently very tough.

Just seen the 500, excellent race and great win for Montoya going from effectively last to 1st. Much harder faught win than his first as well, I remember he cruised it in 2000.

Lewis was robbed. Seems he thought that Nico and Vettel had pitted and was concerned that the softs would take too long to warmup compared to the super softs he thought they were now on, on top of the fact the SS would be faster than the soft anyway. Mercedes decided to pit him because they screwed up the numbers and thought he'd get out ahead.

Didn't see much of Perez but he finished 7th in a Force India, probably the drive of the race.

I heard they goofed the numbers but still, I was wondering why it happened it all. I guess tire concern, you say, but I don't know...its Monaco and there were 10 laps left. Remember when Vettel finished on like 60 lap old ones? And more so, how did it happen? How did they not know, or whatever happened, Nico and Seb didn't. That was just lunacy, and I do feel for the guy. That sucked, and I felt pretty much no joy for Nico. Like I said, you can accept a driver error, or mechanical failure but that was some sh*t all around.

Oh yeah, there's no excuse for it. Even on old tyres, track position is key at Monaco and he should never have been pitted.

Missed the race, but Munoz grabs his first Indy win.
JPM continues to lead with Penske dominant at top and good ol Scott Dixon still hanging right around there.
Will try to catch today's race, hear rain has been an issue so hopefully that doesn't muck it up. I believe Indy can and has raced in rain but well..it aint F1 things may get ugly if they need toLOL
