Yeah, I've been listening to almost exclusively TD and Froese solo stuff since I heard the bad news.  Still depressed...

Thanks for posting the "Sun Gate" video - that was great!  A real highlight from Optical Race.  I haven't purchased anything by TD since "Mars Polaris".  I might consider some of the more recent releases that have received high ratings here on PA.

That '88 video is great. It just sucks that I didn't see it till 25 years after the tour!

Also have listened to only TD and Froese solo since the bad news...and will continue to do so for the time being.

Verslibre, it's strange, I sort of went the other way - I kind of withdrew from playing any TD/EF albums for the last week. I wanted the first TD album I played after to be something really special, then I just kept overthinking it and building it up in my head!

In the end I played my CD of `One Night in Africa', much better than I expected. I kind of dreaded it was going to be full of clichéd tribal chants/Lion King sounds . It's very melodic, with lots of variety to the beats, made it the perfect background listen to wind down to.

Oh I wouldn't totally write off anything of the past 15 years. Here's one of my favorite TD tracks:

Has curious about that album, Richard! I'm way add to to an upcoming order from the TD store (the Melbourne concert triple CD set is due in the next couple of weeks).

I hope you ended up enjoying `The Castle' album.

I like it although I would put it a notch down from Finnegan's Wake on first listen. Need further listens to form a proper opinion though

"Trauma" = Thumbs Up Haunting visuals to go with that, too.

"One Night in Space" is one of the very best tracks I've heard from post-2000 TD.

I think the very first tracks I played were two of my favorites, from one of my favorite albums, Stuntman.

"A Dali-esque Fuse" and "Detroit Snackbar Dreamer."

When that guitar comes in on "Fuse," I immediately pictured Ed up on a cloud in the sky, playing away. So haunting...

I've got the VI one too, just haven't listened to it yet, Richard.

Oh, and going on sale tomorrow is the final Booster volume!

Hey, I've done a search, I (surprisngly) cannot find a Tangerine Dream Appreciation thread on the Archives, so I'll open that up so all these random TDream observations and discussions have a proper home!
