Elastica vs. Mudhoney

yet another britpop band included just to give an influential american band their due although Elastica is pretty fun still, and I voted britpop in two of those matchups.

Elastica as I went to see them and they were good.  And 'cos they had the taste to rip off Wire and The Stranglers.

^My problem with Elastica: so close to their influeces that they went to plagiarize said influences.
That said, I'm not that fan of Mudhoney, but they were able to write their own songs.

Mudhoney wins this for "In and Out of Grace" alone.  I have air guitared to that song more times than I can count.

Elastica. Wonderful Britpop. Can't knock Mudhoney's sludge grunge, though.
