Hey everyone, I'm Pastmaster.

I've been listening to progressive rock ever since I first heard Rush. My favorite prog bands are Rush, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Styx (I consider them prog), Yes, and Phish.

The other music I love is metal, electronic, and Nordic/Celtic folk.

Rush was my gateway band too, and I still blast Farewell to Kings and Hold Your Fire every so often :]

My personal favorite Rush album is the underrated Vapor Trails :)

With such an expansive taste in music you should be able to make quite a few discoveries in here as far as newer bands are concerned. Have you lent an ear to a band like Bolus for instance?

Welcome (to the Grand Illusion ! Sorry...) Pastmaster ! Great taste, even if I don't like very much Styx (Kilroy Was Here is terrible, but The Grand Illusion is pretty cool), and I think that Phish is cool, but not in my top bands. But Rush is also a favorite of mine. Welcome again ! Handshake Beer

Love Iron Maiden ! My favorite metal bands and one of my favorite non prog bands. Even if Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, is pretty progressive. CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS ?

Glad that you enjoyed Bolus. Tossing in another band that have a few gems hidden on their albums here and there: German band Crystal Palace.
