Topic: Sinoia Caves for Progressive Electronic Posted: January 30 2015 at 13:20
Sinoia Caves is the solo project of Jeremy Schimidt, keyboardist from Black Mountain. His style is heavily influenced by Komische and Berlin School music. His music has been featured in the 2010 film Beyond the Black Rainbow, as well as a trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. Jeremy describes his band as:
"Tape chamber legato for organ & arpeggiator.. also made for geometric shapes appearing in swamps, deserts, forests and Other Planes of Elsewhere..."
Sinoia Cave's discography consists of:
Beyond the Black Rainbow (2014)
The Enchanter Persuaded (2006)
I think this is a solid fit for the Progressive Electronic sub. take a listen:
I bought this album a few months back and did actually think about suggesting Sinoia Caves for PE.
I'll swoop it down to the PSIKE cats - see what's what
One thing, these guys have a lot on their plate at the moment - and some of them are still trying to get their heads around the electronic sub, so you may have to be a little patient.
“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”
Thanks David! I'm not surprised at all that you already bought this one.
I've been listening to it tons and I've seen a couple people around here doing the same. Normally I don't make suggestions but I thought it would be too greedy for me to keep this one to myself. (And I was kind of disappointed that I didn't act fast enough for it to qualify for the Collab top albums).
