It's been about a year or so since I originally signed up for a PA membership. For the longest time I was only using this site for browsing bands/albums and reading reviews. Today it suddenly occurred to me that my membership was just sitting there, collecting dust. I figured I was overdue for an introduction, before I got booted off for inactivity.

Anyway, enough chat. I think it's time I cut to the chase and list my current top 10 prog albums:

1. Tool: Lateralus

2. Opeth: Blackwater Park

3. Steven Wilson: The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories)

4. Rush: Permanent Waves

5. King Crimson: Discipline

6. Pink Floyd: Animals

7. Tangerine Dream: Rubycon

8. Gentle Giant: Three Friends

9. Jethro Tull: Minstrel in the Gallery

10. Kraftwerk: Computer World

Good choices there Clap

I always had a soft spot for Blackwater Park, and Permanent Waves is my favorite Rush album! Clearly you've had some time to do some exploring around here already Wink. Welcome to the forums!

Thanks, and yes I've done some exploring already.

Blackwater Park seems to be the obvious one for Opeth fans, but it's obvious for a reason! Moving Pictures was the album that got me into Rush (and prog music in general, in fact). But Permanent Waves is just a perfect album, in my opinion.

I chose the gorilla skull too, but then I changed it numerous times. Welcome!
