LZ - How the West was won.

not the most inspired album choices Raff has ever made LOL

nice to see my opinion of  RP's voice hasn't changed...  like fingernails on glass. urggg..

wow, I've never read such a negative opinion of Robert Plant before
what about young Geddy or the vocalist of Pavlov's Dog then? LOL

you haven't...  you ain't been around much then.  Part of the overall listener fatigue many suffer with Zeppelin can be laid directly at Plant's feet.

odd question...it has nothing to do with high pitched or whatever if that is your point..  it simply is that Surkamp and to a lesser extent Geddy are great singers...  I've never read a credible critique of Plant being a great singer. He was a great front man. BIG difference man.

Like I said, your choice of words "fingernails on glass " (hurts my ears just reading it LOL) for Plant's vocals sounds sarcastic and negative, it surprised me. RP has always been one of my favorite vocalists, I even listen to some of his solo albums, not only LZ.

You're complicating things for me LOL, "singer", "vocalist", "frontman", good thing you did not add "entertainer" & "performer", I would have been totally lost LOL.

As for Surkamp and 70s Geddy, I've read & heard people complain about them more than about Robert Plant. I don't have a problem with either of them (although I admit that initially I struggled a bit with Surkamp's vocals when I heard Pavlov's Dog debut album but in the end...well, I love that album Smile)
