My old band, legendary Swiss progressive rock band Flame Dream from Lucerne,Kriens & Weggis central Switzerland.
Compilation album "Rock Made In Switzerland" (back cover) Swiss band Flame Dream "Nowhere To Go !" (Also,is legendary Swiss heavymetal band KROKUS.) Vinyl album: Switzerland Ariola Record Label 1981 with picture sleeve.

Musicians:
Peter Wolf:Lead Vocals,wind instruments
Urs Hochuli:Bass/Moog Taurus Bass Pedals/Vocals
Peter Furrer:Schlagzeug/Drums,tapes,percussion
Dale Hauskins:Guitars
Roland Ruckstuhl:Keyboards,Vocoder Mellotron
Produced/Mix by the late great British producer John Acock(Steve Hackett's Producer)
Mastered by Kevin Metcalfe at The Town House Studios,
London,England.

Switzerland's best symphonic prog band of any consequence,Flame Dream released its third album,"Out In The Dark", in 1981.

The band had even commandeered the Eden Hotel in Weggis, just across the Statter See (aka Vierwaldstättersee "Lake of four forest states") from Lucerne, and set up for rehearsals in the historic closed relic building.

Before hitting the road to promote "Elements",the band decided to add a guitarist to their line up,and,on the advice of Brand X keyboardist Robin Lumley,Flame Dream picked up young Los Angeles guitarist Dale Hauskins. After finishing high school in California,Dale decided to jump into the deep end of the pool and set off for London and its burgeoning prog/fusion scene. --Tom Karr of Progressiveworld.net

Flame Dream were heavily influenced by bands such as Genesis,Yes,Van Der Graaf Generator,Gentle Giant,King Crimson,UK;and classical music.

By all accounts, this seems to be the most polarizing album by an already polarizing group. Only a couple minutes in. I can already see why.

Apparently they've dropped most of the metal elements, now having gone for mathcore/post-rock entirely? Most of their fanbase also seems to come from that milieu.

NP:

Probably the first Dødheimsgard album I think I finally "get". More than anything else, it reminds me of a continuation of Ved Buens Ende but with more hectic songwriting and an almost futuristic aesthetic.

I can already hear that a lot of work has been put into this, didn't it take like over 5 years to record or so.

Some of the bm elements are still there, but they also have a bit of symphonic metal influence with midi horns, glockenspiel, strings, bagpipes, as well as IDM (with drum machines and glitching/stutters) and rap (Hunter Hunt-Hendrix has left screams to do something like a mixture of occult chanting and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony style triplet-flow rapping, even more odd sounding with his high-pitched voice). It's almost industrial.

Spirit - Live at the Rainbow 1977.

Having moved to Spain recently I've taken on the job of putting all of my cds into alphabetical order. Boring, dusty but have rediscovered some old gems.

Pantheon - Orion
Dutch jazz fusion with a strong Canterbury vibe (which is why they're listed under Canterbury here on PA).
