^
I recall, Aussie Byrd Mike scored this Pentacle vinyl from a shop I frequented - lucky dude . I still recall it has a radio station initial in black texta plastered all over it (I got the Harmonium vinyl Sinq Saisons with the same 'graffiti'......)
I just spun WISHBONE ASH - No Smoke Without Fire
.......and some KAJAGOOGOO - E.P.'s (I can't help it, I just love Nick Beggs' bass playing........)
Now, I watch some T.V.......

Yep, Tom, what was the name of that shop, it was a few doors up from the old Camberwell JB Hifi, and I think it was owned by the guy who runs the Camberwell/Box Hill record fair? I seem to think Antiquarian Records, but I might be wrong!

Yep, good memory, it had `File Under French Section' written in thick black texta on the front cover! I also picked up some Malicorne albums at the same time, and they also had the exact same thing on them. Thankfully that `La Bestiarre' album was mostly black on the front so you can't see the writting as much! I noticed the Pentacles one has also had a Mini LP/CD reissue, it was on Greg Walker's latest newsletter.

That Phillip Wilkerson one is good, Sam. It's droning electronic/ambient stuff, not far removed from Steve Roach, etc. Although he's just put out a new one that's a lot more in the style of `Body Love'-era Klaus Sculze.

^ I'll check that later then, I'm evaluating this Finnish ambiental electronic artist that reminds me of early 80's TD and Schulze Smile

^^ Mike -indeed, Antiquarian Records... Les ran it, Les was the dude with that annoying upwards inflection in everything he said over the P.A. at those fairs. Top bloke, though. He often thought of me when any rare Prog/Kraut came in........I'm talking immaculate Can and Duul albums, for around 20 bucks. I scored that Gotic album 'Escenes' for 15 bucks, virtually unplayed. He was a very valuable acquaintance. Fortunately, after everything, my memory serves me well on such trivial matters......(I'm trying so hard to forget, but I only seem to forget the things that really count.......)
Texta or no texta, the LP's are a huge score, especially with the low price-tags.
I did get a Malicorne album, but the cover/inner gatefold was sooooooo mildew ridden (I mean absolutely fungal) that I ditched it for fear that it will infiltrate everything else in my cupboard.

Yep, Tom, he's the one that is always on the cash stand as you enter the Fair still!

I'll be posting a three star review of it when I'm home tonight, Tom. Nothing actually bad on it, just that the guitar heavier jams don't really engage too much (mostly overlong too), and the better more mellow/acoustic/raga tracks are waaaaay too short (almost like mere interludes). There is a Mellotron blowout to end on, but it's a simply solid release without being particularly essential.

Geez, that cover sure is nice though, eh?
