A Free Improv group. You can tell that from the lazy song and album titling.

Some of the loud parts remind me of King Crimson's ProjeKcts, but maybe that's just me. They also have their fair share of ambient moments. Good stuff.

LOL They're a Norwegian full improv avant jazz quatro, now trio, after drummer Jarle Vespestad (Farmers Market) left, concisting of Ståle Storløkken (Elephant9), on keys, Helge "Deathprod" Sten (ex-Motorpsycho), on different electronic devices, and Arve Henriksen on trumpet and vocals.

These guys never practise or discuss music, they only play live and record, but you wouldn't know from hearing their music that this was 100% improvisation. Quite a productive band, too, as you can see. 11 albums and a live DVD in the 20 years they've been active.

Had my first listen to most of their albums today and yesterday (haven't seen the DVD () yet), and I'm already a huge fan. Just wish I'd known about them sooner. They collaborated with John Paul Jones for some live shows a few years back, would've loved to see that.

Anyway, my favourite release of theirs, along with 6, which was the first of their albums I heard, is probably 10, where Storløkken plays on grand piano for the first, and so far only, time in Supersilent context. The piano, along with Henriksens trumpet, creates some lovely eerie soundscapes there, IMO.

Oh, but enough of my blabbering about one of my new favourite bands Embarrassed, hope that was in some way helpful, Micky.

Edit: Oh, and I see I just added to what Nasir said. LOL
