You may know the band mentioned in the popular "glitch tapping" video, primarily I guess they are a mathy - mellow rock band.
But just check this out:

I think that they have earned a spot on the site with the instrumental sections near the end, amazing musicianship. 
It's a breath of fresh air to listen to other music utilizing an 8-string guitar. 
Accompanied with some really top knotch vocals, violin, busy bass, and solid drums the band stays on the safe-side primarily, but they do display a moderate amount of the prog.

I've thought about submitting them for evaluation in the past, but I can't think of a sub that would fit them well. Crossover and folk might be able to take a whack at them, but they're not the strongest candidate.

I'll give their latest album another spin and see if I can think of where they might fit.
