Just stumbled upon this article:

"Voivod drummer Michel "Away" Langevin says the veteran Canadian band are staying true to their roots on their latest single We Are Connected... Langevin tells the Edmonton Sun: "We're back in prog rock mode. Especially the new single, it's shameless prog rock.”"

What do you guys think?

I love the building up of tension and then the way it's released when it shifts to that slow noisy section, kinda has a "Killing Joke covering King Crimson" vibe.

I thought that the prog rock era of Voivod was in late 80's and not on their first four albums.

I think they are doing "prog" by taking a normal song and adding a large adventurous middle part. Not their best stuff but I'm always interested in hearing what Voivod is up to.
I used to be a fan of particular bands like Rush, Yes, and Deep Purple. Now I travel the Proglands, exploring a little bit of everything. I have become a Prog Voyager.

brilliant song! Have heard better vocals by Voivod though.
