As previously stated, these poll results do not reflect the preferences at the time. But this poll is in 2015 and
not 1967 so it reflects the preferences today.
Pink Floyd (as mentioned) were not yet in the picture but they would more than make up for it when DSOTM broke out.
Sgt. Pepper was not as well received as a lot of people my age remember it being. But the Beatles were still riding a wave of success that helped carry everything they did.
I, and my Beatle fan friends were very disappointed with the album. After the excellent Revolver album we were expecting a lot more but didn't get it.
The Moody Blues were really only known for their early hit single Go Now (I didn't know anyone who bought the album) but Days Of Future Passed changed all of that and Nights In White Satin won everyone over.
Then there was Hendrix. This album/band literally blew everyone away.
In 1967 I think this poll would be:
Hendrix (by far)
Moody Blues
Beatles
...and The Monkees really would have beaten Pink Floyd in '67.

Plus Hendrix was an opening act for the Monkees as The Pink Floyd were an opening act for Jimi. The later went better than the former though...

The Pink Floyd were at the time only popular in London (they were not received well beyond). It took a while.

The others got on the radio and some TV appearances, the Monkees had their own telly vee show. They were huge.

As for the Moodies I think it was Ride My See Saw that initiated that surge of elegance and musical beauty. Days of Future sealed that fate.

Still, it's Hendrix without whom rock would not be what it is today as any electric guitarist in rock would or should acknowledge.

The Moody Blues, Days of Future Passed.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

It's also interesting to me that The Monkees "More of the Monkees" was the best selling album of 1967 according to Billboard (maybe the first non-soundtrack/musical album to claim that title...pretty sure it's at least the first pop/rock album to hit #1 for the year) and Jimi's "Are You Experienced?" wound up being Billboard's ranked biggest seller for 1968, a year after its release. Not sure how Monkees fans reacted to Hendrix, probably lots of "WTF?" comments, but maybe in the end it didn't hurt?

I suppose Hendrix is more 'mind blowing'....certainly more intense and harder edged but I like Pepper the most of those listed.....probably due to sentimental reasons.
Sgt Pepper
DOFP
Are You Exp.
Piper  (always thought this LP was a bit overrated as well as Barrett's song writing.....  Embarrassed)
