I'm looking forward to these polls and will check out some of the ones I don't know from this list. Chile in particular has an abundance of amazing bands i'm into but of course Brazil and Argentina are right up there as well. It's incredible how many South American bands were inspired by King Crimson and one other thing that surprised me when I first got into bands from down there was the RPI feel that many also had.

Never forgetting the huge amount of South American folk music that was added by many bands into their music being them symphonic, fusion, experimental, etc.
Los Jaivas is the first to come to mind when these folk spices are looked upon but I remember also some others not listed here like Terreno Baldio and Flor de Loto.

Of the ones I don't know i'm eally intrigued about SAL Y MILETO, i'm going to check them out. Oh and I do really like TEMPANO's debut but find some of the others a little hit and miss. Just my opinion.
