Just thought I'd post this to help offset the sad news this week regarding Touchstone and The Reasoning:

The band whose original line up imploded back in the summer of 2004 to give rise to The Reasoning and Panic Room, ie. Karnataka are back with a new album 'Secrets Of Angels' - with a supporting tour already underway.

'Secrets of Angels' was mastered by John Dent - MPG Mastering Engineer of the Year 2014, and was on it's way to the pressing plant on 16th Feb, so should be due for release any moment now.

Secrets of Angels Tour 2015:

Feb 27th Bury The Met Theatre 0161 761 7107
Feb 28th Lowdham Hall 0115 9663596...
March 7th Derby Flowerpot 01332 204955
March 8th Bilston Robin 2 01902 497860

March 14th Chesterfield Real Time Live 01246 277702
March 20th Bristol BierKeller 0117 930 4264
March 21st Worcester Huntingdon Hall 01905 611427
March 22nd Leamington Spa (with Arena) 01926 523001

Two gigs done already, and the tour continues in Derby tomorrow (March 7th) and then on to Bilston March 8th.

Does sound good - though it is going to have to go some to match the last one, The Gathering Light - which I think is their best album to date - couldn't believe it when the last incarnation split up so quickly!

One for the auto buy pile.

Are you talking about the debut of first incarnation of the band - ie 'Karnataka' (1998), or the second one - ie 'The Gathering Light' (2010)?

It was originally recorded as a set of demos, but the album quickly gained word of mouth interest and was thus eventually released as the band’s debut album.

As time passed however, the band felt the quality of the recordings was not up to the standards of their subsequent releases, and the album was withdrawn from sale. It has since become a highly collectible recording. Deezer, Spotify etc have all the other albums available for streaming...but not this one. Cry

There are a couple of cuts from it currently on YouTube, and two other live versions of songs featured on it that were performed for the double live album 'Strange Behaviour', which was recorded in late 2003 at two specific concerts at the Limelight in Crewe and the Borderline in London.
