I haven't seen them discussed here for a while. I was introduced to them by Snow Dog, they're a very good band, although I admit I've not listened to them much lately. They have a good ear for melody but can be a bit cheesy at times.
"The Robbery of Murder" is a good album, as is "Mimi's Magic Moment", "Not Everybody's Gold" is possibly their best, but I've not heard the others much.

I was given their first album to review back in the mid-90s, and gave it a pretty favorable review.  The band was appreciative and sent me a copy of their next album, "The Robbery of Murder", which definitely took things up a few notches.  It's a concept album about a guy whose loved one is killed by a drunk driver and he vows revenge or something like that.  Pretty dramatic and gripping, if a little heavy-handed.  But a good band, one that would certainly appeal to fans of Kansas, whom they remind me of most.

Now I've got the urge to listen to them again so I'm playing "Not Everybody's Gold" on Spotify (sadly it's the only one they have).

I guess they don't have too many fans here. As I said, it was Snow Dog who got me into them and he's not around these days.

I haven't heard the last couple as I wasn't blown away by Be or Mimi's Magic Moment so kind of lost interest in them but some of their mid-period albums are great. Not Everybody's Gold is easily my favourite.

Not Everybody's Gold is what I am listening to now due to this thread as it has been a while, forgot how much I liked this Thumbs Up.  However, this is the only album I have by them.

Besides getting Mimi's Magic Moment, which other album would be your next choice, Be?  The Robbery of Murder? or Pennies in the Karma Jar?

is if you can get hold of " The Robbery Of Murder " than " Pennies In The Karma Jar " as with " Be " you`ll find that you will get different points of views it a Thumbs UpThumbs Down to each reviewer you ask... hope this helps you out...

Just like all music each of us like, its in the ear of the beholder.

Funny you mention "is if you could get hold of", Oddly enough I was set to get some of these titles a few years ago and it seemed they were yanked off the market.  Now I see the 3 I mentioned available on iTunes and CDs on other on line avenues.  Not sure what happened, but guess I better strike while the iron is hot! Smile

They are a "Normal" Prog Rock band IMO. Their music is "Good" but NOT "Great". I think they haven't potential to make a discuss in PA forum. IMO their last album " The Unseen Cord " is their best.
