Love all of these :-
Vezhlivyj Otkaz - Gusi Lebedi
Pikapika Teart - Moonberry
Univers Zero - Clivages
Yugen - Iridule
Rational Diet - On Phenomena & Existences

Magma for me as well. I agree with the other albums, but I don't think any of them released in either 2004 or 2014 (the two years Austin is referring to). Anyway, as far as 2014 is concerned, Ut Gret's Ancestor's Tale stands head and shoulders above the competition in my book.

Ah, I misread the post as 2000/2010.

1 Road of Bones (one of the best albums ever released)

2 Pale Communion
3 Marbles
4 The Human Equation

In fact, Magma is probably my least favourite album on the list. I just don't get the whole Magma thing - at all.

BE, easily, the only outstanding album in this list, imho.
again voting for pain of salvation, damn, i'm a fanboy

Pale Communion and the Human Equation are nice albums too (4 or 3,5 stars), maybe Isa too...

the rest of the list didnt catch my attention
and i hasn't listened to maybe two of it...
Please, forgive my spelling and concordance mistakes. English noob here.

From the list I picked Marbles.
There are at least five i'd rate ahead of it though that were released in 2004 including IQ's Dark Matter, Guapo's Five Suns, Ahvak's s/t, Pseu's s/t and Univers Zero's Implosion.  Still working on a 2014 list but those listed here won't make my top five.

Can only pick one, so I picked the one I play most these days. Polls are driven by the moment, right? Corvus Stone this time :-)

So many wonderful bands listed, but in this case I would have to vote for one of my own artists, and that is the very talented band Corvus Stone. What an honor to have them listed amongst this list of high caliber artists.
