Multiple votes are allowed!

What are your favorite albums by this French guitarist and synthesizer player?

I decided not to include his Heldon releases, this poll is focused on his solo releases and collaborations.

I've only listened to three on this list but I'll choose Fossil Culture.

I know you're just interested in colleagues' Pinhas selections, but Heldon's Stand By is what I think of when it comes to the man.

I prefer Heldon. I haven't heard all his solo albums but I liked the ones from appr. 1977-1981, mainly because they sorta sound like Heldon. Can't vote just yet.

I voted for the four I own as I enjoy all them. I found Metatron really interesting with those mechanical rhythms, it's just really different.
Iceland, L'Ethique and Chronolyse.
L'Ethique is less electronic than most of his albums with many former Magma members helping out.

Depends on the mood.  Went with Iceland because of the Greenland selection.  If you did a Heldon poll, the first three albums would be on top.

East/West is the only Pinhas solo LP I have, but again, I got most of the Heldon albums - Stand-By is Earth-Shattering.

Maybe I'm running a high fever but I just seem to have voted in a Richard Pinhas poll?!?!?!!!! Maybe I'm seeing things....it's definitely a first! Bravo monsieur poll starter.

I had to think about this because I really dig Chronolyse yet what that album really is is a second hand Heldon riff done anew (maybe not so new, but it's good); so yeah I had to go with my other fave, and perhaps the one I listen to the most these days, which is the Merzbow collab 'Rhizome'. Soothing bubbly and wildly "sparkly" for some reason. Like sticking your head in a mighty tub of sodapop.

Like others I too prefer Heldon. Agneta Nilsson and Stand By are my absolute faves.
