I'm trying to do justice to some other albums I enjoy of this period, same idea as the other poll, choose "other" if you dislike my options, don't abuse it only because it's there.

A vote for Sieges Even, but a tough choice with Muse and Pain of Salvation.

Where is The Mars Volta? I guess I'd chose Frances The Mute, otherwise it's either The Power To Believe or Second Life Syndrome.

I'll go for Second Life Syndrome, which is miles the best on the list.
The only competitors would be The Last Bright Light (Mostly Autumn) Or IQ's Dark Matter. All three are spectacularly good.

I'm not a fan of prog-metal, usually, but Second Life Syndrome is my choice from the list. From the "others", the first that come to my mind are "La Novia" by Acid Mothers Temple, "Liquid" by 35007 and "Apsaras" by Alio Die and Amelia Cuni.

Went with Deadwing, second in the trilogy of great PT efforts. But, not an easy choice; Damnation is my favorite Opeth offering, and KC's Power to Believe is not bad either.

I voted for Pimp Your Jimmy Mits.
Could just as easily have gone for PT or if I was in a really good mood after having bought some abstract sneakers and a pair of peanutbutter glasses, then maybe Dredg. Triangle is a wonderful tune! |

No contest for me: (). I can't say it's a perfect album - its biggest problem is that it's too long; drop a few songs, and it gets tighter. But this has some of Sigur Ros's best tracks, and the first 5 songs or so are perfect.

Other.
(Actually, I do not dislike the bands on the list (on contrary), though, I think that Terje Rypdal with Lux Aeterna did do a slightly better album than all of other bigs from the list. Thanks for understanding).
