Diagonal! | Exactomundo! Brilliant throwback album and for once done by a band that understands how the sound should be: live in the studio! (with a few overdubs here and there hoho) The closer is Pact arguably the finest tune they've ever recorded. Btw if you dig Diagonal, then try out one lf it's offshoots Baron. It's a completely different style but oh so good. Their album 'Columns' is a pay-what-you-like download on ze bandcamp

Currently I've been (mostly than ever) in a 'classical influenced' mood, so I voted others, guess they are fine suggestions for this sort of progressive music: Little Tragedies - The Paris Symphony The Enid - Journey's End Keith Emerson Band Featuring Marc Bonilla (great call Richardh!) Three Monks - Neogothic Progressive Toccatas From the list I would choose Steve Hackett - Wild Orchids, Astra - The Weirding and Steve Hackett - Out of the Tunnel's Mouth.

I'm surprised to see that Airbag, Kingcrow and Subsignal haven't got any votes, makes my head spin. I get it why Karmakanic might not get votes or progressive metal acts like Myrath or DST but not those.

I could have easily picked Diagonal or Astra but decided to give Pineapple Thief a vote.

Went with Rush's Snakes and Arrows, even though Eloy and Pain of Salvation would also be picks for me.

Karmakanic, Who's the Boss in the Factory?
