Quite an exciting game last night between the Hawks and the Ducks. Triple overtime games rarely disappoint.

Unlike these past two Rangers games....at least they looked alive tonight. And coming back from a two goal deficit was not something I was expecting.

Always thought Lundqvist was an android, but no, he's human after all.

12 goals in two games. Talbot will most likely start next game. That OT goal was a weak one.

Doubt it.

But yes...apparently the Lightning have had his number all year long, and that is certainly continuing in the playoffs.

I am glad the Rangers kept up in terms of scoring though...way better than game 2.

Yeah...these Bolts are pesky. I was encouraged by the Rangers defense...thinking they could at least slow them down a little bit and eek out their typical one goal wins.

Obviously, this was a fantasy. Not sure the Rangers have the O to handle it (much like your Habs).

Ducks/Hawks = What an awesome show.

Those dudes (both teams) really wants the Cup and it shows.

A nice change from watching the (they won't make the playoffs next year) Habs for me.

Looks like the Cup is staying in the LA area this year. I doubt anyone can stop these Ducks.

I just hope that for a change a east team will win, but i am not putting my money on this.

f**k

Hurts even worse that the loss was to several former Rangers. Well, guess I need to root for the western team now. Tongue

Was hoping to see the Rangers get in, oh well.  Does not look good for the Ducks, down 3 to zip in the 2nd.

One period left, 4-1 for the Hawks now. Wow!

A final Hawks/Bolts should be interesting.

Go Bolts.

Man...what a bad time to lay your one egg of the playoffs.
This does set up a better matchup in my mind though. I'll say 'Hawks in 7. Who has home ice advantage this time around?

I was close!

Good for Chicago. The lightning may have played better in a couple of those games, but the Hawks came out with the wins. And once Bishop and then Johnson was injured...the series was as good as over.

Chicago definitely earned this one. Thumbs Up

A modern-day dynasty! Three SC championships in six years, very impressive Hawks!

(another fire sale on the horizon in Chicago though, with a dozen unsigned players and a 7.5 cap space).

Well-fought, Bolts

Indeed! Those are hard numbers to put up in any sport.

And it will be interesting to see how Chitown response to this cap issue. Many commentators saying this one could be the final curtain call of this era of the 'Hawks. I think that's a little silly, assuming the same people who put together this roster are still in charge.

But it will make more some nice off season drama.

I lost a hundred bucks on that series. But I'm glad that one of the original six won.

Did we not even bother to create a 2015-2016 NHL thread this year????  Anyhow, the Red Wings back into the playoffs.  25th straight year.  Wings lose their last 2 games, but get in because the Bruins lose to Ottawa.
