I love you Weisy!

Another OT win for the Habs, very nice.

Strong effort by the Sens, they play real tough.

Excellent serie so far.

^Weise man. What a guy. Also glad to see my boys win at home. Time to get game four and then silence the Bridgestone Arena in game five.

Habs are terrific! They can ride Price far down the road.
Flames vs Canucks is war revisited (an amazingly nasty affair).
The Isles may cause the biggest surprise.
Detroit and Chicago need to kick it up.
But I do not think this first round will ever beat last year's barn burners  (ridiculous set of series)

Interference, hooking, grabbing, clutching, a complete removal of skill from the game.  Hockey would be the best sport in the world if not for the NHL.  Awful awful league.

Time always wins.

That guy Byfuglien really behaves like an idiot and a coward lately.

Another frustrated clown.

You and the general sports media both think so it seems. I can understand it, when looking at the Isles' playoff record the last 20 seasons, but you don't accumulate 101 points during regular season on a fluke.

However, I think it's in the Isles' favour to be underrated. I doubt it, 'cause that would be major flaw in a teams game preparations, but I hope every team the Isles will face in the playoffs (yeah, there will be more than one Wink) shares your assessments and underestimates them.

I guess its different being I live in the nyc area, but NYR fans def aren't taking the Isles lightly. The media is def focusing on the Rangers, but they definitely seem to respect what the islanders did this year.

Either way, I find them the second dangerous team for the rangers (behind the Habs) and would love the caps to stop taking these sh*tty penalties and attempt some offense.

I do think the Isles are a talented team but i'd be surprised if they went past the next round(if the beat the Caps). They need some experience and I think there will be some growing pains along the way. Mind you it seems wide open this year for someone new to win the cup so who knows, but i'd be shocked if it was them.
Good to see your comments Phil on the Ranger fans taking the Isles very seriously because anyone would be foolish to look past them.
Call me crazy but Minnesota has really impressed me and they could really go far, they are my dark horse to go all the way but man they will have to earn it being in the West.

Rangers fans know whats going on. Tongue

And I would have rode with the Wild for awhile if they weren't playing the Blues. They are my western team and just can't pick against them this early. Of course...with their recent performances I wouldn't be surprised if the Blues choke it away.

Out of the whole Wild team, only Dubnyk has stood out to me. But I do want them to at least beat the Blues. Because, you know, it's the Blues. Wink

Yeah, I don't think they'll go all the way either. I agree they lack the necessary experience. But I was hoping, and, of course, there's still a good chance of that happening, that they could win at least one playoff series, to break that 22 years spell.

Shame what happened to Visnovsky the other night. Hopefully not a career ending hit, but he's had something like 6 concussions through his career, so you never know. And he'd been the Isles' best offensive defender so far in the playoffs too. Cry

Hoping for a win tonight, but we're missing two of our, IMO, top 4 defenders, in Visnovsky and Hamonic. We get back Grabovski from injury, but he's been out the last 27 games, so he'll probably be pretty rusty. Don't like our chances, but you never know. We haven't trailed in the series yet. Hopefully we won't be after tonight either. Wink

Let's Go Islanders!

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Alas, it was as I figured, Pens down and out quickly...Cry.  Rangers too strong.

Not sure who I am rooting for now (not Caps for sure Smile), I would like to see a Rangers / Islanders match up in the next round.

Very pleased with the win at what could prove to be the Isles' final game at the Coliseum, but I wouldn't mind another win tonight to prolong our run of matches there, even if that could mean being eliminated by the Rangers in the next round, I'll take it!
