If I'm still in Paris in June, sure I will attend this concert. I hope they also will have some CDs or stuff like that to sell: such a supergroup must have really interesting material.

Well, come to the concert or listen to the records, and then you could talk.

I've had so much Artaud in my life (theater and film) that I'm not sure I want more ... but yes, I will listen and refrain from comparing to the original. The original was anything but about "beats', which is the strange part of it for ME. But Artaud was one of the first to discuss what we call "rhythm" these days.

Could it be that the name of the band may be a pun, like, you know, a reference to the "Art Bears" mixed with a reference to Le Momo? Something like that?

Actually it is more a reference than a pun. Chris Cutler explained it when the band played during the last RIO. The link is the Henry Cow song Living In The Heart Of The Beast. (Heart of = Artaud /Beast = Beats) It's typical Cutler

Btw the first Artaud Beats studio CD was just mastered by Bob Drake and will probably be available for the first time during the Triton show.

So, anyone coming? I haven't bought my tickets yet, but I firmly intend to do it.

By the way, it would be useful to make a thread about the whole Tritonales festival - especially when having in mind that Aranis and Cro-Magnon will play at the Triton on the 12th of June.
