Both Barlow, and Clive Bunker before him, were great drummers and integral in the Tull sound (certainly more evident in the playback than drummers post-1979).

Couldn't agree more - To be fair to the guys who followed Barlow though, they never had the material to get as inventive as BB did. The song structures were in the main simpler after the 70's.

Ten years ago Tony Royster Jr. at age 12.  Many probably have seen this but if you haven't let me tell you it's worth the seven minutes.  Today, ten years later he's now JZ's drummer.  Yeah I consider it a waste of talent too but he knows where the money is and he's still great.

You should definitely check out Jaki Liebezeit from Can, song "Mother sky" being the showcase. Crimson "Absent Lovers" live album and The Who's Quadrophenia are essential as well

You’re very welcome… It was an excerpt from a King Crimson tune called Indiscipline.   When King Crimson re-formed again in 81 and released Discipline it blew me away; fresh, new, very different.

Bruford is definitely an all-around musician and not just a drummer.

This clip is from a more or less instructional video Bill put out called Bill Bruford and the Beat.

P.S. I don’t find him sexy at all… I don’t see any man as being sexy. Smile

The late Pim Koopman. Love the way he plays almost like a kid with a new drum set just slapping everything!

Some days ago I went to see Mats/Morgan Band. The drummer is Morgan Ågren ( Kaipa, Karmakanic, Tangent etc ) and I was really impressed!!!

I have seen many legends ( Cozy Powell, Ian Paice, Neal Peart, Terry Bozzio and many more ) and I must say that Morgan Ågren deserves to be in the same league!!
