Two debute albums from the land of Obscurity, one became a very sought after cult classic, the other one still dwells in Obscurity waiting for its time to sprung out and embrace us with its Snails.

I quite like In Spite of Hary's Toenail, but First Utterence is a cut above.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Gnidrolog all the way. The Comus album may be highly original and have some beautiful moments, but on the other hand some of this stuff is a bit too disgusting for my taste and there are some tracks I don't like at all.
I don't have any problems with Harry's Toenail and its successor is even better.

I love both of these but Comus is better for me.
Gnidrolog needs to be more known though because they put out two very original releases

Let's see,  which album with horrid vocals shall I choose? Utterance. Love the acoustic guitar.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

LOL
Yes...the acoustic guitar is decent on Comus.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

First Utterance is a strange gem among strange gems.  I find its creepiness part of the appeal.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Time and Space like Spiders Lace Weaves On. Great lyric so has to be Gnidrolog.

First Utterance never struck me the first time I listened to it. Never heard of Gnidrolog before and just listened to the album and it's much better.
There is no dark side in the moon, really... Matter of fact, it's all dark...

FU without question.

Comus, First Utterance.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Wow, awesome poll with two albums I totally love.
The easy answer would be "both", but well, I think I prefer the Comus one a little bit.
