Progressive Blues. We've talked about it previously. I think it exists. Here are several examples of great tunes that I believe go beyond the basic structure of the blues and make it something else altogether, while still maintaining a foot or two in the century-old style. This is a multiple choice exam because I, myself, could not possibly just pick one. I'll probably do another long-ass follow-up poll, so if you have suggestions, mention them. I have many more myself.

Burning of the Midnight Lamp - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvtZuhv0Mzs
I Want You (She's So Heavy) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ-FsBvz4i8

Of these, my favorites are Nothing is Easy, Green Manalishi and When the Levee Breaks. And Bridge of Sighs. And I Can't Keep from Crying. Oh f*ck!

I'll go with the Allman Brothers on this one. In particular, I love the Whippin Floss version on YCDTOSA 2 by Zappa.

Bridge of Sighs , a real classic !

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Really tough choice! Jeff beck by a hair, closely followed by Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers and the Beatles.
More heavy prog, please!

Don't know most of this songs. However, though I really love "When the Levee Breaks", whenever I hear something about blues and Led Zeppelin, the one that I want to hear is "Since I've been Loving You"... even though I know very little blues, so far this is my favourite blues song... even if a traditional blues fan would want to burn me for heresy.

There's nothing at all wrong with "Since I've Been Loving You", it's a really good blues tune; however, it is fairly standard as far as British blues goes. What Zeppelin does to "When the Levee Breaks" compared to the original by Memphis Minnie (1929) is quite revolutionary and, well, progressive.

Two perfect examples of Progressive Blues and two amazing live vids from the same gig at an open air venue called Bašta SKC in Belgrade, 06/06/2000. I was there.
Both songs are composed by the guitarist R.M. Točak and recorded for the fist time in 1974 / 1975, and released at Smak debut album (1975).

Just boppin' around YouTube looking for stuff for the next poll, and I found this video of Frank Marino, one of my guitar gods when I was a teenager. I don't know how progressive a blues tune this is, but it is damn great. Frank was on his own little planet on this one:

Going with a non-prog artist here - The Allman Brothers.  Their twin guitar attack and extended jams elevated the Blues into the stratosphere.  Lots of good selections here.  If you like When the Levee Breaks, you should check out Buckwheat Zydeco's version, at least as good as Led Zeppelin's; different but with more soul.  John Mayall's Room to Move is also a great one.

Those two Smak clips are really cool.  That Frank Marino set is AWESOME.  My mind would have completely blown out if I saw that as a teenager.  Even now in my jaded middle age it's pretty mind blowing.

Gone for Split part 2 in this poll

I've always felt that early Allman Bros were somewhat proggy, especially on the songs 'Dreams' and 'Liz Reed'.

Probably you will like also this 1976 live version of Šumadijski Blues with a beautiful Hammond organ solo in this ancient tv documentary "Smak in America" (8:00 - 15:40) :
