For those who follow prog artists that were active in the 1970s period, do you know what they are doing now?

I follow so many 70s prog artists that I don't have room for them all, so I'll just begin with my favorite band

Triumvirat
-Juergen Fritz at last reported is in Germany with his own orchestra, JFO, and has been working as composer and keyboardist for the Tommy Engel Band.
Hans Pape has not been heard of in the media for decades as far as I know.
Hans Bathelt, the same.
Barry Palmer is still active, and released a solo album in 2012 called "Night Thoughts" which is very nice. I am a facebook friend of his.
David Hanselmann is also musically active and on the net, another facebook friend of mine.
Helmut Koellen died on May 3rd, 1977.
Don't know what Dick Frangenberg is doing now. Or Werner Kopal,  or Arno Steffen. Same goes for Dieter Petereit or Matthias Holtmann. Curt Cress is with "Passport Classic".

Some other 70s prog artists I follow

Passport
-the band "Passport Classic" has been playing dates in Germany recently. They consist of seventies members Curt Cress, Wolfgang Schmid, and of course, Klaus Doldinger.
Kristian Schultze has died. Other 70s Passport members I have no clue on.

Wallenstein
-Band leader Juergen Dollase quit music completely years ago, and became a Food/Restaurant Critic in Europe.
I am facebook friends with Harald Grosskopf, the original drummer, who I am happy to say is still playing and recording music.
          Don't know about other members.

And there's mystery man Dirk Steffens, who played with Birth Control in the seventies, then did a couple of solo albums, then became a producer/engineer of note in the Germany area. No info exists on him after the early 1990s-probably retired.

Dzyan
-Peter Giger is still active in music, is on the net with his own site, and I am a facebook friend of his.
Eddy Marron died on Feb. 6th, 2013. Don't know what Reinhard Karwatky or other Dzyan personnel are doing now.

Re: Wallenstein...

I received a very kind e-mail letter (totally unsolicited, by the way) from guitarist Bill Barone in 2006, thanking me for my views on the "Blitzkrieg" album, one of my first uploads to these Archives. He shared an amazing anecdote about how he tried to resist the influence of producer Rolf Ulrich Kaiser, who wanted the band to adopt a more Cosmic attitude, which led to one of Bill's guitar riffs being titled The Cosmic Couriers Meet South Philly Willy, on the 1973 Cosmic Century album ("I wasn't going to be a 'Stepford' for cosmic music", he wrote...)

Mr. Barone was still playing guitar in the Philadelphia region as recently as '06...

Richard Sinclair is alive and well and living in Italy. He sent out an e-mail asking for fan's suggestions on the kind of music his next album should contain as well as funding in order to produce it.

Some interesting info provided here by you fine folks. Appreciation to all.
I'm really curious as to what became of bassist/vocalist Nick Greenwood (Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Khan, his one-off solo album). His bass work on the album Space Shanty is outstanding. He has a great voice, too. Seems he disappeared off the planet......

Jessica Stanley-Clarke (Flute) and Leary (Lawrence) Hasson (Organ) from Marsupilami are doing the following- JSC is now Jekka mc Vicar and is running an Organic herb business and a Horticultural consultant and not involved in music and LH is involved in the Organic Farming industry (Organic Agricultural seed merchant??) and apparently reformed the band with other remaining members (not Jekka though..) to play a set at Glastonbury festivals 40th anniversary 2010 as they were the 'real' first band on stage at the first Glastonbury (Worthy farm, Pilton festival of pop, folk and blues).. Not sure if theyve played live together since??

I sometimes wonder what happened to:

AFT (Automatic Fine Tuning). They have a page here:  http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3955

Druid, who also have a page here: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=856

Upp - don't seem to have a page at PA. They were best known for their work with Jeff Beck and had an excellent bass player as I remember.

Panama Jug Band - were included on Harvest's Picnic sampler and I think their albums have been rereleased on Esoteric.

Druid were one of the first bands I ever saw - back in 76; I was surprised to find out their drummer, Cedric Sharpley, joined Gary Numan's band a few years later.  Otherwise, no further information!

^ I didn't know that. It's a bit like Mike Kellie joining The Only Ones.
