I love the whole album but nothing can compete with the beauty that is The Sheltering Sky. Some of the sounds on it genuinely comes off as a mix of an elephant trumpet (whatever that is) and a sonic lightsaber. Goosebumps City for sure.

"Indiscipline" and "The Sheltering Sky", but the whole album is a masterpiece, a true trailblazer of modern progressive rock.

I am not a fan of this album; I'd call it average. Nevertheless, there is no average without deviation. The Sheltering Sky is really good.

Ditto Thela Hun Ginjeet, because of the song's amazing energy, and its equally amazing back-story.
But I almost chose The Sheltering Sky, for sheer ethereal beauty...all created off the cuff and on the spot, which of course is the hallmark of a Crimson classic.

Frame by Frame followed very, very closely by Sheltering Sky, followed by Matte Kudasai and Indiscipline (tie). Got this album the day it came out accompanied by the final dose of Uncle Syd taken in my life.
I saw God.
