The first part is great, the solo is just good. As the title says : sweet & bitter.

The song went all over the place without going anywhere.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

Somewhere between crap and good. Too many changes with no direction, needs some cohesiveness.

Hadn't heard that track before since I only own the first 2 Maneige albums. I give it a good,  though Les Porches is by far their best work...imo.

This has been an interesting series, Darryl, and is exactly the sort of thing sites like this one are designed for.  Thumbs Up  But exploration does not necessarily mean any one person will like the actual song.  One of my few Prog friends dislikes tuned percussion immenslely.  So far, my votes have been mostly 'good' or 'crap.'  As to this song, I like it a lot; It is lively and energetic without being over the top, a kind of balance Renaissance also managed.  The first section is particularly creative with its tuned percussion, and the second section guitar is tasty and well played.  The band sounds good overall.  There is an interesting mix of styles and sounds throughout, which keeps it always new and fresh.  Certainly not crap to my ears, yet it does not rise to greatness, either. I will thus declare it 'good.'  Very good.  This is a band I would definitely like to explore more.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

It was great until about 2:30, then it got to good.

Probably between good and great, but not great enough to vote for anything but good.

Thanks a lot. I've enjoyed reading the comments and have been surprised how some tracks get no 'Crap' votes at all.
