I couldn't pick between the two Brainticket albums or the two Clepsydra records, both rated very evenly so I included both and leave it up to you as to which one you prefer. Eleven bands from Switzerland who's albums I do appreciate a lot. Lots of variety here and I especially like the two Post-Rock bands in Equus and Evpatoria Report.

Can't vote in this one, as I've only heard one of the entries. Sonar - which I think is fantastic...

Good poll John. I only know about half of these. It's really a tie between Island and Circus for me, I'll give Island the edge here because of its unique and special atmosphere.
One more band I instantly think of when I think about swiss prog is Galaxy, I love their one and only album.

It's a good one alright. Some variety here with 2 Neo albums, 1 Symphonic, 2 Post-Rock, 4 Krautrock, 1 Avant and 1 Eclectic.

I would say that Circus and Island are the two that most would point to as classic albums from Switzerland. Interesting about Galaxy is that many say they were from Germany, i've never heard them yet, just read a few reviews on here. I need to track that one down if it's even out there these days.

I listened to it the other day after being inspired by Sagi's poll. What an album! Unique for sure.

I went with Equus. Love the dark atmospheric sound plus there's plenty of mellotron, another unique record from the Swiss as not many Post-Rock bands use mellotron.

Oh you're right I forgot there's that confusion thing about their origins and I could never remember where they were really from, but I think you're right they're from Germany. It's long out of print I'm sure but definitely worth looking for a second hand copy.

I only know Sonar, Island, Alone, Drum Circus, and (regular) Circus. Of those, Island & Drum Circus stand out (Alone is close, but not in the same tier for me). I'd vote for Drum Circus, an oft unmentioned album that really gives the flavor of the time it was made.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

I'll put it on my list but I won't get my hopes up, thanks Sagi!

That's awesome Phil! Sorry to get so excited but I didn't expect Drum Circus to get a vote. A really enjoyable Krautrock styled album.

It took me a while to appreciate Movin On by Circus and i'm pretty sure Hugues would vote for that one. I need to spin that one soon, it's been too long.
