For me ATTWT has regularly been one Genesis album that has always had mixed reviews amongst fans.I think it's a good album with some gems, but lacks the epics! In the poll pick your one favourite from the album/list.

I like Down and Out and Burning Rope a lot---only missing Hackett to make those songs amazing.Smile

But it is a strong album overall with lot's of good songs.

A very strong album. Many nay-sayers consider this album to be the beginning of the end for Genesis. But for me, it is one of their best. I voted for Undertow which has a massive sounding chorus (always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!)

Well, so many great songs here, but perhaps right away I´d say "Down & Out"; the drumming on it is just out of this world!

Great album from start to finish. Not their best work, but great non the less.

We did this one not too long ago.  Don't remember what I voted then, but today I voted Ballad of Big.

A big disappointment for me after the excellent ATOTT and W&W. No real epics, plenty of wishy-washy and an album that sorely lacks Hackett's excellent guitar and writing contributions.

Voted Deep in the Motherlode but nothing here compares to: Ripples, One for the Vine, Blood on the Rooftops Entangled, Los Endos etc (IMHO)

Four good songs on this album: Down and Out, Undertow, Burning Rope and Deep in the Motherlode. Snouwbound is quite allright as well. The major part of the other songs is crap.

Voted for Down and Out, easily the best.

I bought the album when it came out and went off to Knebworth in June 78, but tellingly, they only played four tracks live - I still remember 'Motherlode' being storming (the live version on 'Archives' probably comes close to this...)

Down and Out for me, even though Follow You Follow Me was our wedding song.
Really miss Hackett on this one.

Have often wondered what path Genesis would have taken if Hackett had remained in the band? STill Hackett leaving G was maybe a blessing in disguise,as his solo career has been littered with many gems!

Follow You Follow Me as a wedding song? What ever happened to Stairway'? Don't understand how Burning Rope is being trumped in this poll by Down and Out. A sweeping epic in the best tradition of what that is. I'll give my frustrated vote to Undertow because of it, although Lady Lies is an honorable mention because of it being traditionally Genesis.

I am all for three, after all it's not their fault Gabriel left. After many vocalist auditions, Phil decided to be a singer instead of drummer., this is all good really. So far prog or not Genesis fans like the track "I can't dance" arghhhh it's two left feet awful to me and corny really I do not understand why this pop blues brothers version is liked by many it's stupid to me really arghh I do not like that track. bah xxxx
