"Mimetophonic Windows" is the new album from the crossover prog project Purple.

Mimetophonic Windows Cover Three years in the making, this is the most personal album yet from Multi-instrumentalist Dan Hodgson. Encompassing many styles, and realised as four 16-minute evolving instrumental tracks, the music covers many styles from rock to folk, jazz, reggae, ambient and electronica. This is "crossover prog" because it has tunes - it harks back to the 1970s - the good old days of pushing the envelope of rock.

Like all of the Purple albums it is free to download and stream through teh project website

The purple music project is an instrumental prog rock project.

I thought this was Deep Purple at first, which would be very exciting.  This project, however, sounds very interesting and I will have to check out the downstreams on the website.
