S. Ramses, or Serge Ramses was a French electronic musician who released only one album, Secret in 1978 on RCA, electronic music that brings to mind Klaus Schulze and I noticed he isn't in ProgArchives and I feel he deserves to be in ProgArchives. It was rumored that S. Ramses was Zanov (Pierre Salkazanov), but he was indeed a separate person. Alain Gross, who produced Zanov's albums also produced the S. Ramses album. Here's a YouTube posting of his sole album:

If Zanov is in ProgArchives, I believe S. Ramses deserves to be so too.

I just recently bought a copy of the LP, so that's a big inspiration for me to suggest Serge Ramses for Progressive Electronic, although having a YouTube posting of the entire album certainly helped. Unfortunately not a lot is known of Serge Ramses, although he did befriend Pierre Salkazanov (Zanov) when both were living in London, before they recorded their albums in the late '70s. That explains Alain Gross producing the S. Ramses and Zanov albums, and that weird rumor that Zanov, S. Ramses and even Alain Gross were all the same person. To me, the S. Ramses album reminds me a lot of the more calm, sedate side of Klaus Schulze. Not much sequencer work here, mainly it's polyphonic synths, and some Mellotron here. I'm glad for what little response, given how obscure this artist is. At least the LP didn't break my bank account. Another progressive electronic obscurity I am so glad to own.
