Hope the remaining Yes members will do the right thing and call it quits. There can be no Yes without Squire.

Damn, that's a shame.

I knew he was sick, but I didn't know he was hopping aboard the ship out of this world a la Fragile so soon. Damn.
He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Truly dreadful news I'm afraid folks.

Just the wiki page at the moment. I'm sure there will be more.

To Be Over

Sad news indeed...
He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

Any source other than Wiki?  None of the official pages say anything about it.

After Geddy he was the first bass player I had heard who was very upfront in the mix and a huge part of a band's sound. I still think of Fragile when I hear Squire's name. He was a huge influence on Geddy and so many other bass players.
I mentioned on another site that i'm sure Geddy will mention Chris at their show in New York City tomorrow night. I was at the Toronto show by Rush in 2003 and Geddy dedicated a song to Entwhistle who had just passed back then.
Such sad news.

RIP Chris. I'll never forget the first time Roundabout clicked with me and the bass became something I really looked for in music. The sun will lead us...
