Not much for Riverside but I'll listen to the sample. Most likely voting for Don Cab or Elephant9.

know Don Callebero and really like but haven't heard  that specific album

I've made half hearted attempts to get into Sigur Ros.. I'll likley try again...

Riverside.. seen live ...heard the albums.  good.. not great

only recently have become aware of elephant9.. not familiar with this album

lots of listening here.. well.. damn near everwhere this week.

I picked Elephant9 with Sigur Ros the runnerup. I do have that Don Caballero album on my "to get" list as I keep forgetting I don't have that one.

Know only of Riverside but own no albums, will have to listen to the rest before I choose...

Very curious about the Don having lived in the "Burg" area years back...  Iron City Beer!

First vote for Don Cab.Thumbs Up The Riverside sample just confirmed they're not for me. Was never a big SR fan and I like E9 but not more than Donny.

Can't say any of these rocked my boat terribly much. Sigur Ros is Sigur Ros is Sigur Ros. That is nether good nor bad simply Sigur Ros. Peter Kriss not my speed. Riverside, yeah OK but I doubt I'll investigate further. Elephant9 I'll definitely be having a further listen to but man, Sunday morning music it is not. E9 but not with a lot of enthusiasm.

1 already failed attempt to get into via this album / Sigor Ros
1 band seen live and heard the album several times. Enjoy but not a favorite/ Riverside
1 band we have albums from but not this specific one / Don Caballero
1 band I heard of... but not heard / elephant9

and I'll start with the Norweigians next...

yeah this is definitely a band I missed in my years long vacation from the site and world of prog in general...

that makes 2 must-have order ASAP albums.. and suspect I'll be catching up on all E9's catalog based on Reine's later involvement.

to the temporary top of the voting perch they go.. and will be hard to knock off.. but still one left to check out.

Next up Don Caballero's album.. last one for the evening...

I do have to say one thing for Math-rock, they do have... bar NONE.... the best song titles LOL

Down to the last few songs as I expected... not taking the vote from Elephant9.

I do like math-rock but in general... like math itself it is cold and souless.. all precision, perfection and attention to detail  like a good KC song LOL

That is important when balancing your checkbook.. or sh*t man.. when doing equations to make that nuke falls where you want it to go.   but in music?  I live for passion and excitment.. fire and most importantly soul. To hit you in the two areas that count other than the head...

elephant9 Walk the Nile it is... but still did enjoy 'the Don' it is something that is best served occasionally and will never be a perfered style of music.

Sigur Rós over Elephant9 over Don Caballero for me, but I really didn't like the Riverside album (haven't enjoyed anything I've heared from them), and I hope two of the other three will go through, so I'll hold my vote for now.

tough choice between don cab, sigur ros, and elephant9.  I think don cab is a lost cause at this point, so I'll give it to elephant9 since I listen to that album more often and I really don't want riverside to win lol

I do appreciate Sigur Ros. A friend of mine let me listen to some other SR music, not from AB, but stuff that I absolutely love. Have to ask him again what it was.
Meanwhile, my vote goes to Riverside. Not innovative maybe, but I definitely enjoy listening to them, so they deserve my vote.
