Jack O The Clock for me. I probably would have picked Mew if it was Frengers instead of Glass Handed Kites. Just sayin'.

next up.. 2 to check.. 1 surely destined to fail based on the sample
starting with MEW!! which sounds famiiliiar.. . might have screened it back in the day.. perhaps the old Xover days. I did so many I can't keep them all straight or remember the vast majority. and on we go... still got a bit of shake in my ass from Chrome Hoof though.. hard to follow that... |

hahahha.. just got the .. oh really... really? from Raff that I hadn't heard of it.
God bless RPI.. and Motown.. along with a healthy dose of Willie Nelson to keep one ignorant of today's musical trends bah.. New is good.. not anywhere close to what floats my boat today... not sure it would have even back in the Xover days. on to.. oh god.. Watchtower over/under.. 3 songs Edited by micky - July 05 2015 at 14:00 |

well.. as Raff is telling me what she thinks.. we disagree..
I'll be damned but once the shock of the vocalist wore off.. I did start to enjoy it.. in a way I never could with LaBrie. Needless to say.. listened to the whole thing.. and enjoyed it. A throwaway vote since I'm not listening to Jack O' the Clock since we are seeing them live soon. Watchtower gets the vote for the hell of it.. and for surprising me. TYS likely won't need it to advance anyway and Jack O' the Clock has a much larger stage coming up to impress than a silly poll Edited by micky - July 05 2015 at 14:45 |

I agree.
Same, although my favourite track of theirs, The Zookeeper's Boy, is on Kites. Thought Jack O' the Clock would be something I'd enjoy, but it really wasn't. The vocals ruined it for me. Thank You Scientist reminded me a lot of Coheed and Cambria, just with added violin and trumpet, i.e. not my thing either. Not a big fan of WatchTower, but, all in all, Energetic Disassembly is my favourite here, so it gets my vote.
