Topic: The Best from TRAFFIC Posted: July 05 2015 at 17:52 |
I do alot of these polls on MMA, and of course they've probably been done on here. However, I thought I'd bring them up because you know, opinions change.
What I find to be a very not-talked-about eclectic band that came around in the same year as Floyd is Traffic. I love their music and I think you proggians do too. Share what your favorite album is from their discography!

I haven't heard all of them, but I'd have to say Low Spark is my favorite of what I have heard.

Damn it! One of the old bands that I still did not pay much attention.
Going to it right now.

Low Spark for me...

He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

Low Spark, John Barleycorn and their eponymous 1968 release are their best, and in that order.

Low Spark followed by John Barleycorn. The rest are hit or miss for me.

It's always a toss between Traffic, the second eponymous album, and John Barleycorn, I voted for the latter this time. But I like all of their albums, except for their comeback album Far From Home. All have strong songs and great playing. Traffic used to be my favorite group after Genesis when I started buying albums. I found a lot of other good bands since, but my love for Traffic has remained.
