Cadence and Cascade. Love that song. When I first listened to Lizard, LOTDW was my favorite because everything else freaked me out. I don't really like it anymore though.

Cadence And Cascade. Great melody lines.
Both great in atmosphere, though.

Great poll !! Two, absolutely charming KC tracks, both sung by Gordon Haskell. Often thought of them as equal, though Lady...... seems to fit better with what's around it, in a sense ; a Haskell vocal where Greg Lake is the main vocalist feels a frad out-of-place. I vote for the pretty Lady Of The Dancing Water.

Hmm, "Lady Of The Dancing Water" is one of my most-listened-to KC tracks, but "Cadence And Cascade" is so beautifully structured and well-written, so I'll give it the vote.

Cadence...
He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me -- John Barrymore

Every time someone says KC to King Crimson I actually remember of KC & The Sunshine Band. Yeah.

I voted for Cadence, its beautiful.

cadence.  Lady is lovely but also the writing is on the wall.  First album:  I talk to the wind at 6+ minutes.  Second album "Cadence and Cascade" at 4+ minutes.  Third album "Lady" at less than 3 minuites. Subsequent albums - no more soft flute oriented ballads (well, ok, Islands had a couple but not of the same ilk)

Neither of this (nor I Talk to the Wind) have been among my favourite Crimson tracks, though I do find them pleasant. Out of the three songs, Cadence and Cascade has always been the one I liked the least. And I think Lady of the Dancing Waters is the one I enjoy the most of them... but at least I do enjoy it more than Cadence.
