Keep walking Ian. What's your opinion of Anderson's first album?

I loved it from the moment it came out! my review explains my feelings, bad press stems from too many wanting another Tull classic. Great songs too.

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

^I will have to give it a fresh listen. I was put off by Under Wraps, and that feeling may have carried over to this album.

Pretty cool album. They should have used the same drum sound In Under Wraps
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Very reminiscent of Under Wraps.

Don't listen to it much.

I like the title track and "Looking For Eden" and that's about it.

If only he had recorded that acoustic solo album and not this synth-driven thing before his voice went .

Love it too!

The opener (Fly by Night) and the closer (Different Germany) are really strong!

I liked a few of the songs.  It was better than most that came out at that time, that's for sure

Meh. Inconsequential. Fly By Night is the only worthwhile song, but it sounds better on the LSO/D. Palmer remake from A Classic Case.
