Last post for this site.

Hello my dear PROG Rock community.
It is with sincere regret that I make this important announcement. After many years of reviewing 1,272 albums since 2008 when I first encountered this wonderful site, I must resign my active involvement on the Symphonic Team. The team are incredible and supportive. I have loved adding bios and receiving CDs and requests from artists, enabling me to discover more great music.

However recently I underwent a serious operation on a ruptured appendix and had a difficult time recovering. I have just returned from hospital after 9 days of intense pain as I have never experienced. My family, wife and children have been rock solid supportive and I owe them my undivided attention as I recover from this ordeal. It is unlikely I will be back in the near future. I have just had to reprioritise my life; the things that are important have to take precedence over other things.

Goodbye and thank you.

AtomicCrimsonRush
Scott Tuffnell.

Take care. Life is, and will always be, more important than pastimes. Just don't stop listening to music :-)

Sad to hear this, Scott, but health and family are the most important things.

Wish you all the best, and hope you'll come back to the site, in whatever capacity you'd be comfortable with, sometime in the future.

I am really sorry to hear about your health problems, Scott. Like the others, I wish you a speedy and full recovery, and hope one day you will be back in some capacity. In the meantime, all the best to you and your family, and get well soon!

Well, that is quite a shock. Of course, you are completely right reprioritizing your life. But just wanting to say: we will miss you very much and you will remain in our hearts.

But your health and your family are of course much more important.

We won't forget you, and apart from all the content to the site you gave, I always loved your UFO Girl avatars.

Take care! Heart

Haven't interacted with you a ton, Scott, but I admire your reasons for leaving. Take care and I hope you recover well.

Do what is best for you and your family. It's not like this place won't be here when you get back. I am sure when you return there will be a new Genesis vs. Yes poll for you to vote on. Wink

Best wishes to you and your family.

Scott, it's sad to see you leave. But i hope for your recovery and fruitful time with your family and friends.

Your reviews were one of the reasons I dove into some sections of prog here, and you remained one of my favorite reviewers with the amount of energy, professionalism, and skill you always reviewed with.

One of the iconic members here imo. Take care. Hope to see you return after a while.

So sorry to hear that, Scott, but you're right; you do what you have to do.   Wouldn't be too surprised to see you back reviewing someday.

Peritonitis is a very dangerous medical event, I know I had one back in 1975, basically an hour or so from the 'final countdown' . So I deeply sympathized with your decision. You need a few months to get back t normal. Family, friends , positive karma and prog will get you through! Bonne chance!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Sorry to read about all your health troubles, Scott!

I hope you get the time to rest and recover, and I totally understand `real world' commitments! Good for you, mate, especially for being so devoted to your family.

Please don't disappear altogether! By all means take a time out, but pop back in once in a while, and keep adding to your reviews here and there if something really inspires you! You were always very encouraging to me, and I consider you a good true friend on the Archives.

It was a real privilege meeting you at the Yes show when you came to Melbourne that time, hopefully Australia will be blessed with another rare prog-related visit that brings our paths together again

I'm sure your contributions to this incredible community will be missed. But it is completely understandable. There is NOTHING more important than ones family. Unfortunately, sometimes it take such life altering events to drive the point home. Best of health to you with wishes for a long and happy life.
Thank you for supporting independently produced music
